3 Ways to Invite Someone to Canada

Millions of people around the world dream of coming to Canada, whether to visit, study, work or immigrate.

However, like every other country in the world, Canada has its own immigration regulations.
If you are already in Canada and would like to invite your friends or family to join you below are 3 ways to do so.

1) Students sponsoring their spouse

If you are an international student in Canada, you can invite your spouse and children to come here. Your spouse is eligible to receive an open work permit for as long as you hold a study permit.

To invite your spouse, you will need to show an additional ~ $4000 to cover for their living expenses. You as a student are already obligated to show that you can cover tuition fees + $10000 per year of living expenses.

Even if your spouse is applying for an open work permit, the immigration officer will check to see if you are able to support each other in case your spouse cannot acquire a job in Canada.

2) Super Visa sponsorships

The Super Visa program is a multiple entry visa that is valid for up to 10 years allowing your parents or grandparents to come to Canada. A regular visa would only allow for a 6 month stay but with the Super Visa they could stay for up to 2 years at a time.

With Super Visa, the most important criteria that the government checks for is your financial details. Can you show proof, in the form bank letters, pay stubs, employer letter and tax returns that you can financially undertake for your parents when they come to Canada?

3) Visitor Visa

People believe that applying for a visitor visa is a simple process, but if a person is not coming from a Western country, it can be easily declined. For this reason, it is important to explain your story fully so the immigration officer can get the full picture. The invitation letters and documents needed to invite a visitor is just as complex as under the Super Visa program.
